The Sisters’ Maternity Center holds up to 3 staff and 6 students, along with 6 beautiful babies. We believe Lansing Teen Challenge is one of the only centers to allow mother and infant to remain with each other after the birth. We believe that this bonding time is very necessary for both mother and baby, as it promotes an atmosphere and time of affectionate love. So many of our students come to us in a condition of despair. They need to know that they are loved and indeed precious in God’s eyes as well as ours. The following are some commonly asked questions...



What is Sisters' Maternity Center?
Sisters' is a 12-13 month live-in, Bible centered program for women who are pregnant and have life-controlling problems.

What are considered life-controlling problems?
If you suffer from any of the following,
you may have life-controlling problems:

  • trouble handling relationships
  • abused -physically, sexually, emotionally
  • financially dependent
  • addicted to drugs, alcohol
  • no relationship with God
  • other problems that make your life miserable and cause you unhappiness

What is a Bible centered program?
 Sisters’ will introduce you to the saving grace of Jesus Christ - through studying the Bible in a classroom on a daily basis.

How long is this program?
 You will be asked to make a commitment of 12-13 months to live at Sisters' and complete the program.

How do I get more information?

After I have the baby will I be able to stay in the program?
 Yes! This is the uniqueness of this program. You may stay in the program if you decide to parent your child.

How old do I have to be?
 You must be at least 18 years old, otherwise there is no age limit. (Teen Challenge is for adults and teens!)

Is there a cost?
There is a $500.00 induction fee when you enter the program. We also ask you to look for a sponsor that will donate up to $700 monthly to offset your living expenses. A minimum of $100 in monthly support is required.

Can I have visitors?
 After being in the program for 3 weeks, you are able to visit with family members on a weekly basis.

How will I be changed from this program?
 You will learn how to be set free from life- controlling problems and how to become an awesome woman of God - and a Godly mother!

Teen Challenge is primarily funded by contributions. Those who need our help the most can least afford help. Please consider a donation to Teen Challenge.
