Just What Is Lansing Teen Challenge?

We are a non-profit, 501(c)(3), Christian educational organization dedicated to helping men and women 18 years of age and older overcome life-controlling problems. Our world is full of broken lives that are a result of alcoholism, drugs, pornography, gambling, abuse, and other addictions. Our answer for all of these problems is the Lord Jesus Christ!

Teen Challenge is not a drug rehabilitation center. Our goal and desire is to see lives changed through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ our Lord.

The Teen Challenge program is based on four principles:

  1. There is hope for a person with life-controlling problems.
  2. Sin, not drugs, alcohol. etc., is the root problem.
  3. The only cure for sin and its symptoms is Jesus Christ.
  4. Through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, one is able to overcome the temptation of sin.

How Does it Help People?

Evangelism - We take the Gospel, the "Good News", to people on the streets, and wherever hurting people can be found.

Counseling - Using Bible-based, Christ-centered counseling, our staff and workers offer hope to hurting people who come to our center or call us on the phone.

Life controlling problems - We hold classes, seminars, and workshops to educate students on the dangers of life and to present to everyone a positive and fulfilling alternative lifestyle with Jesus Christ.

Live-In Discipleship - People with life-controlling problems are provided a safe place to stay while they receive the help and training they need. This live-in discipleship training is designed to equip those who graduate to live free from life-controlling problems. Those who successfully complete the program and continue to apply the principles learned will be positive, contributing members of society.

Teen Challenge is primarily funded by contributions. Those who need our help the most can least afford help. Please consider a donation to Teen Challenge.
