Job Description Summary: The Counselor is responsible to provide biblically sound guidance to Central Florida Teen Challenge students (Teen Girls)and to partner with the staff in helping the students develop a strong Biblical foundation. The Counselor assists the leadership of the ministry by acting as the bridge between the program, the parent and the student. The Counselor provides protection and accountability for the ministry in the area of documentation by providing accurate and complete case files for each student. The Counselor also provides supervision to the staff, as needed, on a daily basis. Counselors are responsible for and oversee the entirety of each student’s program by assuring needs are provided, policies and procedures are maintained, and program goals and expectations are accomplished. The Counselor is the point of contact for parents regarding any and all information related to the student. The Counselor is a senior member of the ministry team that embodies our core values, supports the vision and philosophy of the ministry, and represents the leadership to the parent, student and public at large.

• - Must be at least 21 years of age
• - Must have a valid driver’s license in “good standing” for at least the past three years
• - Must have at least 2 years experience with Teen Challenge or similar ministry
• - Ability to lead and direct / A teachable spirit
• - Experience working with troubled teens and families with life-controlling problems.
• - Must be proficient in the understanding and practical application of Biblical principles.
• - Previous training and experience in Christian counseling.
• -*Graduates of TC program: completion of minimum ELP Level I and/or ELPII preferred.

This is a full-time position.
