Steve Hill's young adult life was filled with crime, hatred and addiction, resulting in 13 arrests for sales of narcotics and drug-related offenses. One October day in 1975, during a time when Steve's body was literally shutting down from all the years of abuse, a Lutheran minister entered his home and introduced him to Jesus Christ. Steve's life was saved that day and his heart was radically changed. However, old crimes from his past soon caught up to him, and shortly after his conversion he was again arrested and incarcerated. Teen Challenge was offered as an alternative to many years in the penitentiary. A year later, Steve graduated from Mid America Teen Challenge in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Steve furthered his training at Twin Oaks Academy in Lindale, Texas, where he would meet his future wife, Jeri, also a graduate of Teen Challenge. Steve and Jeri immediately answered the call of God and entered the ministry. They went on to serve for ten years as missionaries to Argentina, Spain and Russia.
From 1995 - 2000, Steve served as the evangelist for a series of revival meetings in Pensacola, Florida, drawing over 4 million from over 150 nations. His passion for hurting people and his pursuit of genuine, God-breathed revival have only intensified after years of missionary work, church planting, and evangelistic crusades.
Along with his ministry team, Steve has held arena and stadium crusades here in America and around the world. In each meeting, thousands stream to the altar in brokenness and repentance. He has also been privileged to assist in the establishment of Teen Challenge Centers in many international locations.
Steve and Jeri are now pastoring Heartland World Ministries Church, a thriving church in Dallas, Fort Worth area. Steve also continues to hold arena meetings and conferences, here in the United States and around the world. Out of this young church, a two-year ministry training center, Heartland School of Ministry, has been established to raise up anointed men and women to cover the earth with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
